Project officers

Two project officers were appointed by the Scottish Executive to help with the first phase of the review.

Alison Jarvis

Alison was seconded to the project from NHS Lothian and is a district nurse by background. She had clinical experience in both the statutory and voluntary sectors of health care and usually worked as a district nurse/care manager in a General Practice in Edinburgh. Alison also taught part time in Nursing Studies at the University of Edinburgh running the Management of Transitions course for the final year nursing undergraduates. Recently she acted as a Joint Future Facilitator in South West Edinburgh.

Helen Morrison

Helen Morrison came to Scotland from Manchester to work as a triple duty nurse in North West Sutherland, in 1989. She was seconded to a locality project post in 1991 and then held Director of Nursing posts in Highland, until 2005. Helen holds midwifery, district nursing and health visiting qualifications and had over 20 years experience as a practitioner before moving into leadership roles.
