Supporting Improvement "Applying Quality Improvement Science to Performance Challenges".

Improving health care systems is everybody's business. All over Scotland, from GP practices to hospital specialists, staff want to improve the service that they offer to patients.

The Scottish Government Health Directorates are committed to helping provide the tools that will help improve delivery for patients. In particular, the Health Delivery Directorate's Improvement and Support Team (IST) is tasked with providing the programmes and tools that will help the NHS reach selected delivery targets.

In addition to providing support for service redesign the Improvement and Support Team hosts a series of events and training sessions which help build capacity for service redesign and sustainable improvements. These events include Core Improvement Skills Training, Programme specific events and Masterclasses.
