Public Involvement
Public involvement is a key element of the of the HAI agenda and so a representative group called the Public Involvement and Communications Team (PICT) were set up with membership drawn from the general public. PICT have been active participants in many areas of the Task Force work and a have a seat on the Task Force itself.
PICT have been active in developing a number of important HAI programmes, such as the development of the NHSScotland National Cleaning Services Specification, the Health Technology Assessment on Screening for MRSA and the publication of the Public Information Strategy. PICT will continue to play a key role in the third Delivery Plan with an updated membership and a renewed remit. These changes were necessary to ensure that PICT remains representative and accountable.
