Public Sector Pay in Scotland - Disclosure of names and salary details of senior staff

In October 2010, the Scottish Government asked Scottish non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs) and Public Corporations to list on their respective websites the names and salary details of members of their senior leadership team equivalent to Senior Civil Service (SCS) Grade 2 and above. Scottish public bodies have been asked to update their information as at 30 June and 31 December each year (or as and when revisions or corrections are required).

Pay for the Senior Civil Service (SCS) is reserved to the UK Government. Information on the SCS in UK Government Departments is published on the Opening Up Government website ('Who does what in Whitehall and beyond').

The Scottish Government publishes data sheets in respect of its senior and junior staff, showing names, job title and salary for senior civil servants at Director level and above. The data also provides job titles of senior civil servants at Deputy Director level along with a breakdown by grade and number of the staff in their team. This information is available on the Scottish Government website in the Scottish Government Staff Data section. An organogram is also available on the Cabinet Office website.
