Established: 2003, as a special Health Board under section 28 of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990. The Board is constituted by the Health Education Board for Scotland Order 1990, as amended by the H.E.B.S. for Scotland Amendment Order 2003.
Terms of Reference: Health Scotland provides a national focus for improving health and will work with the Scottish Government and other key partners to take action to improve health and reduce health inequalities in Scotland.
