Guidance to Local Authorities on Councillor salaries, allowances and expenses

The Committee contributes to the Guidance to Local Authorities on Councillor remuneration, allowances and reimbursement of expenses which is produced and updated, from time to time, by the Scottish Government in the light of their response to our recommendations and the Scottish Parliament's consideration and approval of the relevant Regulations to implement any changes in councillors' remuneration, allowances or expenses.

The current version of the remuneration, allowances and expenses guidance was published in April 2010.
