There are five types of public bodies covered by the Ethical Standards Framework. Within each category there is a listing of bodies covered by the framework:

Executive Non-departmental Public Bodies

NHS Public Bodies

Public Corporations

Further Education Colleges

Non Ministerial Departments

There is only one type of public body covered by Part 4 of the Ethical Standards Act, namely Advisory Non- Departmental Public Bodies.
