MGF Round 1
In February 2000 the then Minister for Finance announced details of the £25 million Modernising Government Fund to Parliament.
MGF projects are the equivalent of the Pathfinder projects developed by Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR) in England.
The first round of the Modernising Government Fund (MGF1) tested innovation with a range of projects involving the provision of improved public services and focussing on the citizen's needs.
