Scottish Procurement Policy Notes 2004

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 establishes a general right of access to information recorded in any form which is held by a Scottish Public Authority. This will come into force on 1st January 2005, and places an obligation on the Executive to identify the types of information and documentation that it will make publicly available; known as a 'Publication Scheme'. The Executive has decided that information normally issued under the SPC notices will form part of its Publication Scheme. In preparation of this, it has been decided that SPC notes will be re-titled as Scottish Procurement Policy Notes (SPPN) papers.
