- Category Plan: The category Plan has been submitted to NCF members. Comments have been received from a number of NCF members and the plan has been updated to include these. The Category Plan was formally endorsed by members at the NCF meeting in January 2009.
- Strategic Sourcing Document: The Strategic Sourcing Document is currently being drafted and will be submitted to the for comment and endorsement.
- Data Survey: An exercise is currently underway to gather site specific consumption and billing information. This will be used to scope the overall nature and size of the Natural Gas portfolio and form the basis of a future Invitaton to Tender (ITT).
- Engagement with Industry: A series of workshops have taken place with a number of industry representatives to gauge their views and opinions on possible procurement strategies and methodologies. Responses to a formal Request for Information indicated a positive interest in participating in a future competitive tender exercise.
- National Category Forum (NCF): The NCF is fully established and includes members representing all areas of the Scottish Public Sector. NCF members include the following:
