STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

• IT Software Category Plan: Has been finalised and endorsed by the National Category Forum (NCF) members. The initial findings lead to further commodity analysis by way of an economic paper, stakeholder survey and workshops.
• IT Software Survey: A stakeholder survey was carried out in 2008. The responses where collated and helped shape the Sourcing Strategy.
• IT Software and Hardware Stakeholder workshops: Procurement Scotland hosted a series of regional stakeholder workshops across Scotland during January 2009. The cross-sector workshops were open to all organisations to attend, and provide an additional outlet for organisations to feedback on the commodities and share best practice. The workshops were an open invitation to allow IT and procurement specialists, the opportunity to provide their thoughts on a collaborative agenda.
• Sourcing Strategy: The Sourcing Strategy has been finalised and endorsed by the NCF members and COE's.
