Procurement Scotland

Procurement Scotland

Procurement Scotland launched in March 2008 with the task of developing and implementing procurement strategies for national Category A commodities on behalf of all Scottish public sector organisations.

As part of the Scottish Procurement Directorate of the Scottish Government, Procurement Scotland delivers benefits to the people of Scotland through:
- improved value for money for taxpayers;
- improved goods and services for our citizens; and
- economic opportunities for our businesses.
This is achieved through effective collaboration throughout the procurement cycle and optimising compliance to national contracts.

Currently in scope Category A areas include:
Corporate Services, IT Hardware, IT Software, IT Services,
Office Equipment, Professional Services, Telecoms, and Utilities.
