Programme information

The programme consists of several initiatives, delivered in conjunction with sectoral and local projects. The programme team facilitates, supports and co-ordinates local initiatives where required, but does not manage them directly.

Responsibility for providing guidance and direction to the programme rests with the Public Procurement Reform Board. The board meets regularly and is responsible for providing continued commitment and endorsement of the reform programme, and ensuring that obstacles to delivery and benefit realisation are addressed.

Within the programme team there are five streams of work: Policy; Procurement Development (which includes people and skills, management information and best practice); Programme management; Centre of Expertise co-ordination; and eProcurement Scotland (ePS). These teams will produce national frameworks, policy and guidance, and will link with equivalent projects within public bodies across the sector.

The following leaflets, produced for the 2007 National Procurement Conference & Exhibition, provide more information on the Public Procurement Reform Programme.
