Electronic Tendering
The Scottish Government has introduced electronic tendering to its procurement processes. Most Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and Invitations To Tender will in future be issued electronically and suppliers will have the option of also utilising the system to submit their responses (completed pre-qualification questionnaires and tender documents) electronically instead of on paper.
The electronic tendering service is provided through eProcurement Scotland which was set up by the Scottish Government. They have produced a range of materials including a Suppliers Briefing and User Guide which aim to support buyers and suppliers.
If you would like to receive a dummy Invitation To Tender through the eTender system, simply send an e-mail asking for the "Demonstrator ITT" to eprocurement@scotland.gsi.gov.uk.
