Fairtrade Fortnight is an annual campaign where events are held across the country to highlight products carrying the Fairtrade mark and what we can do day-to-day in the global fight against poverty.
During Fairtrade Fortnight 2009, the Scottish Fair Trade Forum is embarking on a tour of Scotland with Malawian fair trade expert, Towera Jalakasi, who works with Business Consult Africa. Undertaking in excess of 30 events, Towera will speak about the difference fair trade has made to the lives of many Malawians.
Fairtrade Fortnight 2009 runs from Monday 23rd February to Sunday 8th March so why not get involved and attend one of the many local events taking place across Scotland during the two weeks.
