Glasgow University have a memorandum of understanding focused on staff and students with Northeast Normal Unversity in Changchun, Jilin.
The University of Paisley have developed a partnership with Northeast Normal University that allows students to study the first two years a university undergraduate degree in China before transferring to Scotland to complete their studies.
The Scottish Crop Research Institute and Mylnefield Research Services Ltd have an academic collaboratoin with Jilin Agricultural University in Chanchung
