Integrated working for children and young people is a priority for the Scottish Executive. Getting It Right For Every Child is the major initiative in place to develop this and the Data Standards and eCare Division currently supports this in a number of ways.
Working in partnership with local agencies, under round 2 of the Modernising Government Fund, eCare has piloted an Integrated Children's Services Record (bringing together summary care information from social work, health and education), electronic delivery of the Integrated Assessment Framework, and a Personal Care Record (to provide web-enabled access by a young person of their own summary record). It has also piloted a mechanism to automatically send child protection messages to relevant practitioners and is currently scoping ways in which it can support delivery of the Co-ordinated Support Plans.
