Energy

The Scottish Government is committed to using energy efficiently to minimise the emissions of carbon dioxide (CO 2) associated with its activities. The production and use of energy is the leading source of emissions. CO 2 from the burning of fossil fuels (oil, natural gas and coal) to generate electricity, power vehicles, heat buildings and run factories is the largest single source of greenhouse gas emissions from human activities.

We all have a part to play in saving energy!
