Flooding Bill Advisory Group - Flood Risk Management Planning Sub-Group House Children Flood

The Flood Risk Management Planning sub-group advised the SG on proposals for flood risk management planning. This helped us transpose the flood planning requirements of the Floods directive as well as creating a framework to implement sustainable flood management.

The sub-group considered how different levels of plans might be used to identify national flood risk priorities as well as establishing a framework for planning, financing and delivering measures at a local level. Members were also asked to reflected on how to link these different levels of plans and how they might take account of other plans, such as development plans and how these could be taken account of in other strategic and local plans.
