Introduction
The Guidance Sub-group was set up to help the Executive produce technical guidance for local authorities to take forward flood prevention schemes under the Flood Prevention (Scotland) Act 1961. The Sub-Group used existing DEFRA Project Appraisal Guidance as a starting point.

detailed outlines for Chapters 1 ( Introduction and Overview), 2 ( Statutory Process) and 3 ( Strategic Considerations).
