The Alleviation Sub-Committee was set up to consider issues from the National Flooding Framework which relate to Alleviation. In particular members will offer advice on the preparation of technical guidance for local authorities taking forward flood prevention schemes. With increasing demands on resources in the future there will be a need for prioritisation. The sub-committee will consider how a prioritisation system might be developed to take account of future financial constraints.
