The Flooding Bill Advisory Group is an informal forum composed of invited members.

It is not a non-departmental public body.

The aims of the Group and its sub-groups are:

  • To help and advise the Scottish Government on flood risk management issues at a strategic level.
  • To assist with the development of the Flooding Bill.
  • To offer advice on the transposition of the EC Directive on the Assessment and Management of Flood Risks.

The Group will continue to advise and assist the Government with any supplementary legislation and with the development of technical and operational guidance.
