Water Resources

The Drinking Water Quality Division (DWQD) plays a key role in ensuring that the quality of drinking water in Scotland is of the highest standard. The DWQD also helps ensure that there are adequate drinking water resources throughout Scotland.

On the basis of its knowledge of the water industry and its professional expertise, DWQD advises Scottish Ministers and other parts of the Scottish Executive on the formulation of policy affecting the Scottish water industry.
