Water in Scotland

Water is one of Scotland's most abundant natural resources. The Scottish Government is working to enhance the quality of the water environment and to improve drinking water quality.

The Scottish Government has policies on drinking water quality, reservoir safety, marine and freshwater quality, sewage treatment, conservation and use of water resources and provision of adequate water and sewerage services.
