Greener Scotland Unit

The Scottish Government's Greener Scotland Units's functions include:

- providing the secretariat for the Greener Scotland Board and support for work on the Greener objective and national outcomes

- working with a number of bodies providing challenge, expertise, advocacy or scrutiny - including the Sustainable Development Commission in Scotland, Sustainable Scotland Network and Scottish Sustainable Development Forum

- delivering and working with others to deliver initiatives aimed at promoting greener engagement and behaviour change, including:

• the £27.4 million Climate Challenge Fund supporting community-led initiatives to cut CO2 emissions
• the Go Greener campaign
• the Leading by Example programme, which aims to promote good environmental management across Scotland's public sector.
