The Noise Management Guide is designed to help local authorities develop a common approach towards the enforcement of community noise statutory provisions. The guide is a dynamic document and will be reviewed periodically to ensure its currency.
The aims of the guide are to:
- Encourage Local Authorities to develop noise policies and practices to meet their statutory obligations
- Provide examples of 'good practices' in dealing with noise issues
- Encourage Local Authorities to critically review their noise services and determine where improvements can be made
