Changing Our Ways: Scotland's Climate Change Programme
The Executive published Changing Our Ways on 30 March 2006 following a formal review of the Executive's climate change response. The Programme covers action across all of the key sectors of Scotland's society and economy, including energy; transport; agriculture, forestry and land use; business; and the residential sector, and strengthens the Programme we published in November 2000.
It represents a stepping up of the Executive's ambition and action to tackle climate change and quantifies for the first time Scotland's equitable contribution to UK climate change commitments in carbon terms - the Scottish Share. Furthermore, it sets an ambitious Scottish Target to exceed the Scottish Share by 1 million tonnes of additional carbon savings in 2010.
