O The Water Industry - The Changing Climate

On 11 October 2000, the Scottish Executive hosted a workshop involving the 3 Scottish water authorities, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, the Water Industry Commissioner and others involved with climate change issues. The aim of the workshop was to discuss the areas in which the water authorities could make an appropriate contribution to deliver savings in carbon emissions and adapt to the anticipated impacts of climate change. The outcome of the workshop is detailed in the attached report.

O Taking Ownership - Seminar Report

The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, Energy Saving Trust and the Scottish Executive jointly organised a workshop to look at ways in which local authorities could deal with the anticipated impacts of climate change and how they could assist in mitigating against the worst effects of climate change by reducing their energy demands and thereby their emissions of greenhouse gases. The workshop was held on 26 April 2000 and a report of the findings is attached.
