CORE GROUP
REVIEW OF SCOTLAND'S COLLEGES
FUTURE MEETINGS
Purpose
1. To seek members' views on the timetable for future Core Group meetings.
Background
2. Following the last meeting of the Group members were canvassed for their views on a draft timetable for future Core Group meetings.
3. Having received responses from some members the following revised timetable for future meetings has been proposed:
- Late August to receive an update from each of the workstreams, review progress, make inputs to the work of the working groups and discuss any specific strategic issues which may arise;
- October for a further update meeting on the same lines as above;
- December for a further update meeting on the same lines as above and consideration of possible recommendations;
- Early February to consider the final recommendations made by each of the four workstreams; and
- March/April to reflect on the lessons learnt from the Review process and to make recommendations for future sector reviews.
4. Members are asked to note that this timetable will be reconsidered should there be any variance with the timetable for the Spending Review 2007.
5. Views from members are sought on whether they are content with this proposed revised timescale.
