Teaching
Scotland is a great place to teach and work is underway to encourage even more talented people to work here.
The aim is to increase the number of teachers working in Scottish education to 53,000, by 2007.
These extra teachers will see class sizes reduced to 25 in the first year of primary (P1) and to 20 in maths and English classes during the first two years of secondary (S1 and S2).
