Home reading
As part of the Literacy Strategy, the Home Reading Initiative aims to encourage parents and carers to share books with their children in the home from a young age.
The Read Together website provides lots of advice and guidance as well as some great book ideas for a wide range of age groups.
For the fourth year, the Executive are again inviting community groups, schools, nurseries, day-care centres and other organisations throughout Scotland to apply for start-up grants for the development of home reading projects.
