Orkney to Glasgow, Berwick to Stornoway, Scotland is hotchin with stories. About the past, present and future. About ancient peoples and modern cultures. There are stories about Scotland in the world and the world in Scotland. Andrew, Scotland's patron saint, was a fisherman. But it seems he netted not just fish but a full catch of tales.
So why not catch a few yourself? Explore Scotland's stories? And make some new ones of your own.

'Aye,' said Ahmed, gritting his teeth, 'Wan day Ah wull play fur Scotland.'
As the rocket engines fired, Elspeth was thrown back in her seat. But out of her pilot's window she could see the Moray Firth beneath her. She imagined a dolphin's fin cutting through the blue water.
'Grineag Beag,' she snuffled from beneath a moist shiny snout. 'No here. That's Gaelic. You're wee Lurchie here,' said Tam, as he lifted the little hedgehog out of a box marked UIST.
He got the bus into town without telling anyone. As he went past the sign 'S.Y.T. DANCE AUDITIONS' Bobby took a quick look over his shoulder.
They stood quite still beneath the huge trees, then they looked at each other. There was no doubt. It was a dinosaur's footprint.
