Homecoming Scotland 2009 and St Andrew's Day

Scotland is currently hosting its first-ever Homecoming celebration - a year-long celebration of the country's culture and contribution to the world. Schools and pre-schools from all over Scotland have been contacting the schools' Homecoming website throughout the year, posting information about what they have been doing to join in the celebrations. The Homecoming year reaches an exciting finale on St Andrew's Day, presenting a fantastic opportunity for schools and pre-schools to celebrate their national day and in doing so, showcase all the events and activities they have been involved in throughout the Homecoming year.

Last year, many schools and pre-schools contacted a dedicated website to post information about and photographs of their St Andrew's Day celebrations which were showcased on an interactive map. A similar map has been developed for 2009 to again capture the fantastic activities taking place in schools and pre-schools all over Scotland. Visit the Learning and Teaching Scotland website to find out more.
