Planned changes to the law on school closures
On 18 November 2013 the Scottish Government announced its response and and published an independent analysis of responses to the recent consultation Amending the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010.
Changes to the law on school closure consultations will be taken forward through the Children and Young People (Scotland) Bill which is currently before the Scottish Parliament. They are expected to come into force in 2014.
