Individual Learning Accounts (ILAs)

ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme that can help you pay for a wide range of courses offered by a variety of ILA Scotland approved learning providers, including private and community based providers, colleges and universities.

If you are over 16 years of age, live in Scotland and earn £18,000 or less per year or are on benefit then you may qualify for up to £200 each year towards the cost of learning.

Part-Time HE Students

ILA Scotland offers a new fee grant support for students studying part-time Higher Education courses at colleges and universities that are registered with ILA Scotland. If you are 16 or over and living in Scotland you could get up to £500 a year towards the fees for part-time HE courses.

To qualify, your income must be £18,000 or less and you must be studying for at least 50% of a full-time course.

Even if you are studying less than 50% of a full-time HE course you could still be able to get up to £200 towards the cost of the course.
