Many of the statistics contained in the Strategy for the Financial Services Industry Annual Report are derived from surveys conducted by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) eg the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE), the Annual Business Inquiry (ABI) and the Labour Force Survey (LFS). The Scottish Government has access to these ONS datasets and can produce bespoke analyses such as those for the financial services industry contained in the Strategy.
