The Scottish Executive and Scottish Enterprise are presenting and supporting a one day industry conference, Manufacturing The Future - a conference for Scotland 's manufacturing industry, at Dunblane Hydro on 25 November 2005.

There is a pre-conference dinner on the evening of 24 November 2005 and this informal setting will provide an excellent opportunity for networking and discussion.

This is a major event in the Scottish Manufacturing Industry calendar. The conference is targeting an audience of over 300 senior executives from all areas of manufacturing and will embrace: developing people, leadership, strategy, globalisation, competitiveness, business efficiency, lean thinking and adding value.

Eminent principal speakers at the conference include Gordon Hewitt, Distinguished Professor of International Business -University of Michigan; Professor Dan Jones, founder of the Lean Academy; author Carol Craig and Olympian Sir Matthew Pinsent.

Additionally, a series of interactive best practice workshops are planned and delegates are free to attend those of prime interest to them.
