This newsletter has been developed with the aim of sharing practice in community empowerment.
In this edition, we are highlighting the work that the Scottish Government's Community Engagement Team are funding, to improve community engagement practice:
- VOICE - a toolkit to assist with the planning and delivery of community engagement activity was officially launched by the Minister for Housing and Communities, Mr Alex Neil MSP, at a national conference in May.
- The Better Community Engagement Programme- a programme to establish a national coherent resource of learning and training materials and methods to build the capacity, competencies and skills of community engagement practitioners.
- Support for Communities to Own Assets - a programme to develop a range of resources to help educate and inform communities on community asset ownership.
