Raploch URC

The Raploch Urban Regeneration Company is delivering a 10-year programme which will create 900 new homes, 225 training and job opportunities, infrastructure and public realm in the Raploch area of Stirling.

It is using a pioneering approach that seeks to involve local people and the public and private sectors in the regeneration of the area. It is one of the first initiatives of its kind in Scotland to secure a Community Benefit in Procurement clause in a contract with its lead developer R3, a consortium of George Wimpey and Cruden Homes.

The deal will deliver 900 homes - a mix of private and social rent - new community health facilities and extensive environmental improvements. It will also ensure that long-term unemployed residents will be trained on-site as part of the plans to upgrade supporting road infrastructure.
