Please note that all documents relating to an appeal will be published on the internet. In order to comply with the Data Protection Act (DPA) we redact all signatures, personal telephone numbers and personal e-mail addresses from documents that we publish. For more information on the DPA go to DPEA Data Protection.
ONLINE SUBMISSION OF APPEALS
Appeals can now be submitted electronically using the Online Appeal and Application system, ePlanning.
A significant benefit of submitting an online appeal is the automatic notification of the submission of the new appeal to the relevant Planning Authority. Therefore you will no longer have to send duplicate copies of the appeal to them, unless you did not or were unable to submit all supporting documentation electronically. If this is the case you will still be required to submit a paper copy of the missing documents to DPEA and the Planning Authority.
To enter the online system click on the logo below.

Once your appeal has been submitted you will receive an email notification which will confirm the submission of the appeal and provide an online reference number.
Please ensure keep you keep a note ofthe reference number issued as it may be required in any future communication. In particular if you need to send a paper copy of missing documents by post you must quote this reference number to ensure that the documents are associated with the electronic submission. Please note that an electronic receipt does not confirm the validity of an appeal.
Please email dpea@scotland.gsi.gov.uk for assistance if you have any difficulties using the system.
