Changes to Planning Legislation

Introduction

Legislation came into force on June 30, 2013 which consolidated the previous amendments made to the regulations on development management, appeals, schemes of delegation and local reviews.

The consolidated 2013 regulations also include a number of new amendments.  Guidance on the changes and the transitional arrangements is available

Some consequential changes are made to the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (Scotland) Regulations 1984, as appeal procedures in relation to advertisement consent are contained in the Town and Country Planning (Appeals) (Scotland) Regulations 2013.  A link to the amending regulations is below.
