Pencil and a table of figures This section provides access to a range of statistics that may be relevant or helpful for conducting and drafting Housing Need and Demand Assessments, and related activities. It includes a range of statistics collected within and outwith Scottish Government.

In some cases we have listed key websites, rather than actual statistics, particualary where statistics are produced outwith the Scottish Government. However where possible, we have provided links directly to the data. Many of these statistics are housed elsewhere on the Scottish Government website, however we are bringing these together in one place to facilitate ease of access for our stakeholders.

Scottish Housing Market Intelligence

The monthly Housing Market Review for Scotland collates a range of statistics on house prices, housing market activity, cost and availability of finance and repossessions and finance. It is produced by the Scottish Government Centre for Housing Market Analysis.

The monthly local authority housing bulletin collates a range of time series statistics on volume of transactions and house prices. It is produced by the Scottish Government Centre for Housing Market Analysis.

Income & Poverty Statistics	Information about the income and poverty statistics published by the Scottish Government. Local authority figures are available on the 'Main Analyses' page. See also the Q&A section of this website.
Planning and Land Use Statistics	Statistics on the extent of vacant and derelict land in Scotland and the levels and locations of affordable housing that have secured planning consent
Scottish House Condition Survey	The only national survey to look at the physical condition of Scotland's homes as well as the experiences of householders
Scottish Household Survey	Designed to provide accurate, up-to-date information about the characteristics, attitudes and behaviour of Scottish households and individuals on a range of issues
Scottish Neighbourhood Statistics	Small area statistics including information on health, education, poverty, unemployment, housing, population, crime and social/ community issues at the data zone level and above
