More than 70 per cent of Scottish households live in privately-owned housing, either as owner-occupiers or as tenants of private landlords.
The Scottish Government is committed to ensuring that everyone in Scotland has access to good quality, warm and affordable housing. To achieve this private owners need to be supported to improve the condition of their properties and private rented housing must be properly managed.
