Housing Allowance - Emergency Budget 22 June 2010
The table of information below provides the current April 2011 Local Housing Allowance figures for Scotland's Broad Rental Market Areas based on the 30th percentile as the planned changes announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 22 June 2010. The 30th percentile figures are now the active figures and organisations and individuals should note that the old 50th (median) percentile figures no longer apply.
The following points are drawn to your attention:
The 30th percentile LHAs are based on data for the year to 28th February 2011.
This change from median to 30th percentile is effective immediately.
In addition, from April 2011 a new upper limit has been introduced for each property size, with upper limits set at:
- £250 a week for a 1 bedroom property
- £290 a week for a 2 bedroom property
- £340 a week for a 3 bedroom property
- £400 a week for a 4 bedroom property or larger
These figures are valid from 1 April 2011 to 30 April 2011
