Rural Homes for Rent Pilot Scheme

The Scottish Government's Rural Homes for Rent Pilot Scheme will fund additional new build affordable housing for affordable rent in rural Scotland. Grant funding will be targeted at landowners in pressured rural housing markets where registered social landlords have been constrained in meeting local housing and homelessness need.

• The closing date for expressions of interest was 8 July 2008. All pro-formas are now being assessed for eligibility. Results will be fed back to individual applicants by end of August, and short-listed landowners will be invited to submit detailed bids. Further information will be available at this time.
