2008/01Shared equity

This guidance note tells you about interim arrangements put in place on 5 April 2008 in connection with the administration of the New Supply Shared Equity scheme and the original Open Market Shared Equity Pilot scheme in Edinburgh and the Lothians. (Separate arrangements are being put in place for the current Open Market Shared Equity Pilot scheme, which is not covered by this guidance note.)

Consolidated guidance on the New Supply Shared Equity scheme is planned for issue in due course. If you have any questions on the content of this guidance note, contact the relevant Scottish Government area office.

New Indicative Costs
This guidance note explains the New Indicative Cost (NIC) system for use by RSLs, developers and grant providers. It updates and supersedes Communities Scotland Guidance Note CSGN 2003/10, and contains, in the associated workbook, the latest updates for the Housing Tender Price Index (HTPI) and Location Factors.

HAG Tender Return
This guidance note explains the HAG Tender Return form for new build housing. It updates and supersedes Communities Scotland Guidance Note CSGN 2008/02, supplements Guidance Note HIGN 2008/06 and contains, in the associated workbook, the latest updates for the Housing Tender Price Index (HTPI) and Location Factors.

National HAG Subsidy Target Benchmark
This guidance note explains the application of the HAG Subsidy Target regime as outlined in the Housing Association Grant Procedures Guide, explains the National HST Benchmark of £73,000 against which individual projects (or Route 1 programmes) will be assessed in 2008/09 and contains, in the associated workbook, the data and calculations used in obtaining the new National HST Benchmark.

Open Market Shared Equity Pilot: Local Price Thresholds
This guidance note tells you about the publication of a new set of local price thresholds for the Open Market Shared Equity Pilot scheme. These local price thresholds replace those contained within the Open Market Shared Equity Pilot Administrative Procedures which were issued under cover of CSGN 2008/01.

This guidance note tells you about the publication of detailed operational guidance for registered social landlords and grant providers on the New Supply Shared Equity Scheme. You can also download an information leaflet on the scheme. This guidance note supersedes CSGN 2005/12 and HIGN 2008/01.
