National Care Standards: Housing Support Services

Implementation of the provisions on joint working in part 2 of the community care and health (Scotland) act 2002 and the community care (joint working etc.) regulations 2002 - PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING - Readers of this guidance will wish to note that paragraph 7 of Annex A in relation to Supporting people is inaccurate. The position is that Supporting people funding will be made available by way of a specific grant to local authorities and may only be spent on the provision of housing support services. These arrangements will be reviewed in 2006. At present there is no commitment to bring them within the ambit of the joint working/joint funding arrangements as described in this guidance. As previously indicated in Circular CCD 7/2001 Supporting people funding may be aligned with joint funding arrangements but cannot be used as part of a joint funding pool. Click here to proceed
