Folder 1 - Strategic Guidance and Interim Guidance. Contains guidance on key players, legislation, planning, commissioning, issues for small and new providers, cross authority working, quality and monitoring and charging policies.
Folder 2 - Operational Guidance and Financial Guidance
The Operational Guidance contains practical guidance on data definitions, service reviews and community alarms. The Financial Guidance contains practical guidance on charging, procurement and VAT and short and long term services.
Folder 3 - Related Guidance, Relevant Legislation and Shared Practice
The Related Guidance contains guidance on national care standards, joint future agenda, single shared assessment, free personal care, direct payments, local authority complaints procedures and CoSLA guidance on charging for non-residential care sector. Relevant Legislation contains relevant sections of the Social work (Scotland) Act 1968; Local Government Act 2000; Housing (Scotland) Act 2001; Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 and the Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002. Shared Practice includes examples of shared practice and can be added to at a local level.
