Warm Deal

The Warm Deal has been replaced by the Energy Assistance Package. All applications to the Warm Deal received on or before 5 April 2009 will be considered and Warm Deal measures installed for eligible applicants.

What did Warm Deal provide?

  • Grant up to £500 for a package of insulation measures to households in receipt of one of a range of passport benefits
  • A smaller grant up to £125 for pensioner households not on benefit
  • The package of measures can include: cavity wall insulation, loft, tank and pipe insulation, draughtproofing, four energy efficient light bulbs and energy efficiency advice
  • A benefits health check

Who could apply?

The scheme was available to people on one of the following benefits

  • Attendance Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit with an income of less than £16,017
  • Council Tax Benefit
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Housing Benefit
  • Income-based Job Seeker's Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Industrial Injuries
  • Disabled Benefit (which must include Constant Attendance Allowance)
  • Pension Credit
  • War Disablement Pension (which must include the mobility supplement or Constant Attendance Allowance)
  • Working Tax Credit with an income of less than £16,017
