Note of tenth meeting held on 19 September 2002 and matters arising
3 Communal repairs and maintenance - the civil law
framework.
Paper SGA2/24-10-02 develops the group's previous discussions on this
issue and makes recommendations for developing the Tenement
(Scotland) Bill to address specific identified problems in
common and shared property maintenance and repair.
4 Communal repairs and maintenance - complementary
powers and action by local authorities to assist private
owners.
Paper SGA3/24-10-02 builds on the recommendations in respect of the Civil
Law framework with a view to ensure that it is supported by
the powers available to local authorities.
5 Mediation services
Paper SGA4/24-10-02 sets out the issues in respect of the provision of
mediation services for owners of flatted properties and
makes recommendations as to how this should be addressed in
the final report.
6 Information and advice services
Paper SGA5/24-10-02 makes recommendations on how issues in relation of the
provision of information and advice should be incorporated
into the final Task Force report.
